Some plants have the ability to put the cat in all its forms. This is the case of olive, papyrus, mimosa, kiwi or asparagus , but especially of certain herbs such as thyme, valerian and catnip .
The latter, called ” cat’s weed ” or “cats’ mentee” (its smell is reminiscent of mint) , contains a fragrant molecule (nepetalactone) close to LSD.
No sooner has he approached than the cat is in all its forms. He sniffs, licks, chews, rubs against it and begins to roll on his back, dilated pupils. He then bathes before returning to his calm.
Do not worry, unlike drugs, this plant has no adverse effect on the health of the cat , some cats are also completely insensitive.
